I am James.
Experience
After a long career in hospitality, which included roles in operations, recruitment & HR, a golden opportunity presented itself to set up a property development business.
After convincing my wife that dropping my salary to £0 for a shortish (hopefully!) period was a good idea, I took the plunge.
Thankfully, things went well! To this day, I run a portfolio of Buy to Let properties in Bristol and have a keen interest in all things property.
Throughout my journey of buying, selling and building over the years, it always struck me just how stressful the job of arranging mortgages could be.
Surely it shouldn’t be this hard!?
With that thought in mind, and a long-standing interest in finance, I qualified as a mortgage broker and joined Kingsbridge. Advising on mortgages and other property finance enables me to do what really excites me – problem solving, helping people and waffling on about property endlessly!
Buy to let and self-employed mortgages are areas of particular interest, but I can advise on the full range of different mortgages.
